What is Commtel’s ML Solo+ system, and who is it for?

The ML Solo+ is part of Commtel’s ‘Telguard’ range and is a 4G LTE door entry system for family homes, rental properties, industrial yards, car parks and more. The ML Solo+ is easy to use, quick and simple to install and commission, and offers secure telephone-based access control for a wide variety of applications.

How does Vision by Commtel enhance security and access control?

Vision by Commtel is a 4G video system which allows visual verification before entry, and is ideal for high-security sites and luxury properties. Voice, access control and video feed are delivered through separate communication pathways to ensure critical access and secure video functionality. This also means that where internet access may not be stable enough to receive the video feed, a separate voice call will reduce the possibility of missed visitors.

Can Commtel systems be integrated with existing security infrastructure?

Yes! Our product can integrate with existing security setups, adding flexibility to comprehensive security solutions.

At Commtel, we strive to create lifetime relationships with our customers, and part of that is ensuring that we provide our customers with support when they need it. Our technical team are on hand to guide our installers and their customers through the initial commissioning process if they need us, and throughout the lifetime of the product. You can contact our team via telephone call, email or through the website.

What SIM card do Commtel products need?

Commtel products require a MICRO SIM. We will always recommend using one of our SIM cards as they are designed specifically to work with our intercom systems. However, if you would prefer to provide your own SIM, here are a few things to you will need: Calls Texts (used for SMS alerts and when using one of our apps). Data (only a very small amount is required if we are programming your intercom remotely for you). Marketing messages switched off – these can sometimes cause issues with the intercom. Voicemail switched off. If choosing a PAYG SIM, pop it in a phone to register it on the network provider’s app beforehand so that you can top up easily. VoLTE ready.

How do you program a Commtel intercom system?

Our 4G systems can be programmed via our Commtel Config app, SMS or by using our Cirrus programming software. We also offer a 2 year warranty on all Telguard and Vision intercoms which includes free programming for the first 2 years, when requested using our online programming form.
